Quill & Ink Studio
When Rebekah of Quill & Ink Studio first reached out about doing a rebrand, I was so thrilled. People who make cool stuff by hand have a special place in my heart as a fellow maker, and I wanted to help her succeed with a strong brand identity. After the consultation call and questionnaire, I had a clear idea of what this brand should entail, and got to work!
I was inspired to create a logo that would emulate the rich history of calligraphy and print shops, but with a twist that would appeal to a modern generation. The resulting logo is a combination of traditional typefaces and hand-drawn pen & nib, and I can totally see it as a storefront sign in an old city.
Sometimes all it takes to give a website a new look is a fresh color palette, new fonts, new logos, new photos, and some fun illustrations - oh wait, that's like a whole new brand identity.
The most important part of branding is creating a brand that will work across a variety of mediums, whether that’s signage, postcards, business cards, social media, website, or merchandise.
