Aligned Women

Danielle was referred to me by another client, and quickly became one of my easiest clients ever! By ‘easiest’, I mean ‘most communicative’ and ‘matter-of-fact’. Her goal was to create a new logo for her wellness business coaching service, Aligned Women. Aligned Women serves women-owned wellness businesses such as chiropractors, holistic medicine, and more.

Danielle is a busy and productive person, so she was happy for me to create the mood board for her project - which I LOVED. Additionally, because this was a re-design, she provided me with a color palette to work from and a few images that evoked her brand’s story. We decided to pursue plants, freshness, clean lines, minimalist design, and a modern feel.

The palette challenged me! I don’t often see purple and yellow together, but alongside the greens and the more muted tones, everything worked out quite nicely (especially for the various course logos, as you’ll see).

Danielle’s original logo was lowercase sans serif, with a curved vertical line of dots simulating a spine. While effective, I wanted to bring something more nature-based to the logo - and change up the typography. I chose to work with an all-caps sans-serif font for ‘Aligned’, replacing the ‘I’ with a curved vine element reflecting the spine theme, and a strong, feminine script for ‘Women’.

The color palette works beautifully for a variety of versions of the logo - and we ended up designing various versions for the courses that Danielle offers members of Aligned Women, such as Aligned Marketing and Aligned Practice:

This project was such a pleasure to create. I look forward to more wellness-based clients!
