How to Delight Your Customers

Picture this: you’re visiting your favorite coffeeshop. Would you rather walk into the shop and have the barista greet you by name, make a delicious latte in a beautiful mug with the coffeeshop’s logo on it, and invite you to sit and relax in a cozy environment? Or would you prefer to have to get the barista’s attention, as she begrudgingly takes your order, hands it to you in a plain paper cup, and bids you good day?

I’m guessing you would prefer the first option! Most people would, including your customers. We all want to feel cared for, and delighting your customers through each step of their experience with you is a great way to build brand loyalty and support.

Here are three ways you can improve your customer experience today!

1 // Business Thank You Cards

Start including thank you cards with your orders! Your invoice or order slip may already include a default thank you note, but it adds a whole new level of care and consideration when you include a beautiful thank you card to a package – especially if that card includes a coupon for next time! Your customers will love opening up their order to see a carefully designed card inside. Not sure how to design one? I’ve got three Canva templates in my shop you can use!

2 // Custom Packaging

These days, custom packaging is achievable and affordable! To create an experience for your customers that’s even more delightful (and fun), why not order boxes, paper, stickers, and tape with your logo or brand icons on them? A few sites I have used in the past are Noissue and EcoEnclose – both are great options, and both will allow you to use your brand effectively while bringing your customer experience to life in a beautiful way. Here are a few examples of how you can do that!

3 // Following Up

This is the ultimate personal touch. If at all possible, send your customer a little note a few weeks after their order to see how they are enjoying their product/s! This can look like an automation that you set up within your online shop, depending on the service you use, or you can dedicate a day to sending these out. Try including a little coupon reminder like the one you included on the thank you card in the package, and let them know their feedback is valued and appreciated!

I hope this was a helpful blog post! Let me know in the comments which of these you plan to try first, or if you are currently using any other means to delight your clients! Feel free to share and pin if you found this helpful!
