Abundant Joy Video

Last fall, Joy asked me to rebrand her videography business, and I was absolutely thrilled to do so. Joy is a wonderfully creative videographer, and serves a variety of events with her skills and a team in the southern New Hampshire area. She had a Facebook page and an Instagram, but did not yet have an official logo or brand identity to help her appear consistent online, so she reached out to me to see if I could help her, and also design a fresh website for her.

During the consultation, we talked about her vision and goals. Her mood board was largely made up of cool shades and calm imagery - evocative of her own personality. . She wanted to see an organic element included with a more structured element, so we decided to go with a camera lens and a little gingko leaf detailing. I decided to see how the logo would feel with the ‘A’ breaking out of the lens, sort of like breaking the barrier of structure, while still full of confidence and reassurance.

Joy’s website isn’t quite live yet, though her branding is already in place on social media, but this is a sneak peek of her About page! I wanted to keep her website as simple and straightforward as possible, with plenty of space and cool colors.

As you can see, we remained as true to her mood board as we possibly could, and our final result was very close to the original visual goals! I love when this happens - it is so satisfactory to finish a project and know that your client is happy and pleased with it.
